The Wedding Cake

I was pleased to be asked by a good friend to make the wedding cake for their garden wedding which gonna be held in November 2009 :) Been working on the design and here it is. A 3-tier moist orange cake with marshmallow fondant and gumpaste roses as the cake topper. Hope they'll like it and wish them happiness always....

Was in the mood of baking again yesterday... :) Been missing the aroma of pandan leaves and manage to get some at Chinatown! Hehehe...and here it is, the Pandan mousse (or agar-agar?) cake with desiccated coconut!

Made some cheese sticks yesterday night. Been looking for the recipe. It's super easy if you use frozen puff pastry. It's like 15 minutes preparation and about 10 minutes to bake..and this is what you'll get:

Greetings from Adelaide! It's been quite a long time that I didn't blog. Well, been busy with settling down, running around and busy looking for a job! Manage to steal some time to bake. This is it! The Lemon Drizzel Cake (since lemons are dirt cheap here, so i decided to make this!) It's EXTRA (and i mean it!) sour and full of gooey lemony taste! It's delicious and good for digestion after dinner. Hehe.
I baked this last night. It doesn't taste as good as today! The taste developed and taste so 'heavenly' today......

Hi All~! Happy holidays! been away for quite some time for the holidays. Been busy preparing for the Chinese New Year. (baking cookies & stuff...). And now, this is the fruit cake I've baked for my hubby on his 30th birthday. He fancy something more fresh & less sweet (he's not a fans of sugar paste..duh*) So in the end, this is it :) His choice of fruits....

My Birthday Cake!

Here it is...the birthday cake that I made for myself. Well, this's my second time playing around with sugar paste. How was it? Inside, it's chocolate cake with coffee buttercream. It took me 8 & a half hours to make the cake from scratch. Eventually, wanted to make a big sugar bow on the top but I didnt know that it's hard till I get my hands on it! In the end, just decide to have flowers all around it. :P

I do have fun and glad that it turn out good..

Baked again today. Orange poppyseed muffins~! Ta dah~!. Though of baking some muffins for my colleagues as one of the staff from UK will be coming over to our office tomorrow. Just to make everyone happy, and meanwhile to brush up my skill as well :) They seems boring (the muffins, I mean...) so I've made up some sugar paste flowers as decorations. I've always love baking. To me, it's an art that requires alot of passion. I've been baking for about a year and finally, I'm able to bake a 'real' cake. LOL. Not to mention that I almost burned down the house because I've totally forget that I'm baking a cake with a microwave that time!
And, here I am, with my very first blog about the journey of baking (I've actually started a lil late). So, I guess I'll be starting to post up some pics of what I've baked for the past few months (that's edible, of course!) :P

My passion & dream is to open a cake shop which sells wedding cakes & cupcakes :) Hopefully, it'll come true someday.....
